Our company provides various services such as renewable energy balancing, corporate PPA structuring, VPP and grid-scale battery operation. Through these businesses, we contribute to the adoption of renewable energy and the maintenance of power supply-demand balance across society.
Within the company, the Trading Operations Team is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of asset on behalf of asset owners, including renewable energy, thermal power, and battery storage assets by executing related market transactions. The team also executes market transactions related to electricity supply for retail electricity providers and end-users. In addition to market transaction, our company is responsible for operational processes involving the Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators (OCCTO) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators (TDSOs).
To support these activities, we are seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Trading Operations Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding a wide range of third-party assets and power supply contracts into our proprietary trading tools and systems, through which we centrally manage trading and operational activities. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring that our operations are executed smoothly in a sustainable and scalable manner as the business continues to grow.

1. Onboarding New Assets:
   • Ensure seamless integration of new assets from a system and process perspective. Assets include batteries, virtual power plants, gas plants, solar plants, and wind farms.
   • Extract the relevant data from contractual documents and register them in our internal Data Base and Trading Tool.
   • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all technical and operational requirements are met.

2. Data Analysis and Trading Tool Optimization:
   • Help senior analyst to optimize and maintain core trading tools to ensure the efficiency of the trading desk operations.
   • Help senior analyst to conduct market analysis to enhance trading strategies to optimize the operation of assets in short-term spot markets and balancing markets.

3. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work alongside and interact regularly with the other analysts, traders and operators in Trading Operations team to ensure safe operation from trading tool perspective.
   • Streamline internal communication among other departments in our company, including Commercial and IT.

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree or equivalent in science, engineering, or a related field.
• (Preferable) Minimum of Business Level in Japanese
• Experience in developing scripts, automation tools (e.g. Python, VBA) and database languages (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• (Preferable) Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Jupiter notebook, Plotly) and version control system (e.g. Git)
• (Preferable) Experience in the energy market or Japanese power industry
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
